Jamie arrived at The Astbury in January 2022 and brings a broad depth of experience, with a track record that includes roles at high profile leisure environments such as Disneyland in Paris and Walt Disney World in Florida. He also spent several years as General Manager of Scunthorpe United FC, which he successfully ran as one of the very few football clubs in the UK to consistently turn a profit. Jamie’s most recent role is Regional Manager for Haulfryn Group where he oversaw the management of 11 residential parks and 2 five star holiday parks. Jamie looks forward to meeting members, getting to know the locals and seeing The Astbury grow in to a fabulous destination.

Tom has worked in the golf industry for more than 20 years, since starting as a PGA Professional. Before joining The Astbury to head up the golf team, Tom gained several years of experience in club management including over 4 years as the Golf Manager at Branston Golf & Country Club. Tom manages the day-to-day operations of golf at The Astbury and was instrumental in helping to relaunch the golf business in April 2021. In his spare time Tom enjoys spending time with his Wife and two young boys.

James completed his Golf Management Degree and PGA at The University of Birmingham back in 2010 before joining Hagley Golf & Country Club as Fitter and Retail Manager. Before joining The Astbury as Golf & Membership Manager, James travelled the UK & Ireland for Nike Golf in a technical sales role. James joined the Lodge Sales team in February 2022, alongside his role in the Golf department, and has fast become an important part of the our Luxury Lodge Development. In his spare time James enjoys playing football and watching live sport.

Sean began his career in 1995 as a Seasonal Greenkeeper at East Sussex National Golf Club, where he achieved the position of Deputy Greenkeeper within 2 years. From there, Sean grew in courses at Bournemouth and Leicester before arriving at the Astbury in 2004. Sean has overseen the Astbury’s golf course since construction of the first 9 holes, and personally formulated and designed the seed mix for the fantastic championship course that you see and enjoy here today. As Course Manager, it is Sean’s responsibility to maintain and keep the course to the highest standards for all our customers and members. In his own time, Sean will often take to the seas for scuba diving adventures. He qualified as a PADI Professional Dive Master 12 years ago and never looked back!

Adamo has arrived at The Astbury from Harrogate in North Yorkshire, he brings a wealth of knowledge coming from one of the UK’s leading holiday park companies where he has a successful track record in Lodge sales. Anything he doesn’t know about the lodges isn’t worth knowing. He plays an integral role in making The Astbury Luxury Lodge Development a huge success. Adamo also has a wide knowledge of golf where he organised & travelled with a group of PGA Challenge Tour professionals. In his spare time, he likes to play & watch football, spend time with his family & enjoys a hike up a mountain or a bike ride.

Craig has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 17 years. Craig began his career at the Lion Quays Resort and worked his way up into management. After 7 years he took the opportunity to work for Brownsword hotels group where he again progressed his way up to be the General Manager of the Abode Chester. In his spare time, Craig enjoys time with his young son and the local football team.

Before joining The Astbury, Laura worked as Head of Finance and Business Administration in the care industry for over 7 years. As The Astbury’s Office Manager, Laura has played a vital role in helping to build and support the team while managing various administrative and accounting responsibilities. Laura enjoys The Astbury’s fun and creative culture and has made it her goal to learn all she can about Golf!

Our Events Manager Valme, brings her magic to The Astbury with a Bachelor’s in Communication and a Master’s in Promotion and Marketing. Starting her marketing journey at 16, serving the Royal family in Andalucia, she then went from telecom events in Spain to falling in love with wedding planning in the North. Joining us in August 2022, Val’s the heart behind every event, big or small. Beyond crafting unforgettable moments, she’s a travel enthusiast, a Spanish tutor to her son George, and a devoted animal lover. Catch her at The Astbury, turning your events into pure magic!
